Digital Impressions

Our laboratory uses computer-aided
technology in almost every stage of production

Dental Laboratory Associates is highly qualified to provide assistance to dentists who utilize digital impression systems. Our laboratory uses computer-aided technology in almost every stage of production to make sure that the restorations that we do are consistently well-fitting, and are able to be fabricated from the most up-to-the-minute materials. Whether it’s for a traditional restoration or an implant, we accept scans for the Align Technology iTero, Sirona CEREC platforms, Carestream Dental’s CS 3500, the 3M True Definition Scanner, 3Shape’s TRIOS, and PLANMECA CAD/CAM SOLUTIONS E4D Technologies.

After the clinician captures an impression using his or her scanning unit, the data can be sent to Dental Laboratory Associates. For those systems that use proprietary connection portals, Dental Laboratory Associates receive the date through the specifically approved and established connection that is indicated in the respective system’s manual. For other systems, dentists can download the scan data and communicate with us for the transfer.

The exclusively digital workflow at Dental Laboratory Associates has also reduced the number of crown remakes due to errors in margin, occlusion, and fit. Also, dentists utilizing intraoral scanners can prevent the possibility of a distortion that is found in traditional impressions and stone lab models. What it means for the clinician is that their cases are all consistently delivered correctly, exactly as they prescribed them.
